Share information for Google
At jgstech.co.uk, we ask for your consent before we provide information to Google. When you access the site, a popup/banner appears asking for your consent for Google to process the information collected by the site. Personalization of ads
If ad personalization is enabled, Google will use your data to customize ads for you.
If ad personalization is disabled, Google will not collect or use information about you to create an advertising profile or personalize the ads you see. Ads will display, but they will not be customized for you. They may be related to the topic of the website or app you are viewing, your current search terms or your general location, but not to your interests or search or browsing history. Your data may still be used for other purposes listed above, such as measuring the effectiveness of ads and protecting against fraud or abuse.
When using a site or application that uses Google services, you may see a question asking if you want to see personalized ads displayed by various companies, including Google. Regardless of the option you choose, Google will not personalize ads if you have your ad personalization setting turned off or if the personalized ad display feature does not cover your account.
You can check and control the information based on which we select ads for you in the ad settings.
How you can control the information Google collects on these sites and apps
Here are some ways to control the information your device sends when you visit sites or use apps that use Google services:
- Ads settings help you control the ads you see on Google services (such as Google Search or YouTube) or on non-Google sites and apps that use Google's advertising services. They also help you learn how ads are selected for a particular user, opt out of ad personalization or block specific advertisers.
- If you sign into your Google account, depending on its settings, on the My Activity page you can view and control the data that is produced when you use Google services. This can include, for example, information collected from the sites you visit and applications you use. You can view them by date or topic, and delete your activity in whole or in part.
- Many sites and applications use Google Analytics so their owners can learn about user preferences. To block Analytics in your browser, you can install a browser add-on to block Google Analytics. Learn more about Google Analytics and privacy.
- Chrome's incognito mode allows you to browse the Internet without saving site data and files in your browser history or account (unless you log in). Cookies are deleted when you close all incognito windows and tabs, and bookmarks and settings are stored until you delete them. Learn more about cookies.
- Many browsers, including Chrome, allow you to block third-party cookies. You can also delete existing cookies from within the browser. Learn more about managing cookies in Chrome.
